C1W5D1: Deload: 1/30/12

Had 8 hours of quality sleep then worked out after taking my dogs out and taking my son to school.
This week is the cycle’s deload week so I decided to cram the lifts in 2 days considering the weights will be light and save gas by having 1 less travel/workout day.
Overall a nice easy day and excited to implement the things I have learned this cycle to the next cycle coming next monday!

5/3/1: C1W4D3 Squat: 1/27/12

Another workout session after work.
Slept around 6 hours before work.
Think work wore me out a bit more than I thought and I was not able to perform 100% today.
I also was not able to eat my usual pre-workout meal of Proatmeal (1 serving steel-cut oats + 1 serving whey protein powder) + Strawberries and ate a sausage, egg and cheese on a roll instead.
I was hoping for a better session but today ended up to be just a decent session but not bad overall.
I did learn something else today while doing my BBB Squats, which is always good!
Always strive to learn something new each and every day!

Decent 6-7 hours of sleep before today’s workout.
Felt just “OK” today and nothing special.
Learned some more things about myself on how I could improve my lifts even though it is not a stellar lifting day.

Slept around 7-8 hours of sleep plus around 30-45 minute nap before I went to work.
After work I walked my dogs then went to the gym after making my son breakfast at home.
Gave myself an extra 1/2 serving of White Flood (1.5 servings total) and included 1/2 a serving of Purple Wraath in my pre-workout drink on the way to the gym.
It’s Power Clean and Deadlift day and working out after work I thought I may need the extra energy, which seems to have helped!
Today’s session felt quite amazing and learned some more about the lifts today.
Great session overall!

No hill sprints today due to needing to make up for not able to workout on my regularly scheduled day.
Glutes, hamstrings, calves and my lower back have some nice DOMS from yesterday’s squat session.
Would have had a solid 8 hours of sleep but only got 7 hours due to someone calling me way too early in the morning!
Otherwise a nice workout session.

5/3/1: C1W3D2 Squat: 1/20/12

Was sick for a couple of days so had to catch up with the program and do Wednesday’s workout today.
Still feeling slightly icky but made myself go because I at least did not have a fever today.
Worked out after work and had around 6-7 hours of sleep plus around a 2 hour nap before work.
Workout went better than expected.
Wanted to get squats today and try to do the wave 3 overhead press tomorrow so I don’t miss any workouts this week.

One thing I did notice is really missing doing squats every session.
I may do some very light sets of squats as part of my warm-up just to keep in practice in my other lifts.

Made up for my lack of sleep this weekend.
Around 6 hours of quality sleep and fully energized for the day.
Made sure I did a full body foam roll/stretch this time and I felt great the whole workout.
Except for my left wrist and thumb that somehow felt kinda off.
Feels like a mild sprain/sore but was able to do the workout with not much issues.

5/3/1: Hill Sprints #3: 1/15/12

Hill Sprints #3: 1/15/12

Awesome sleep of 6-8 hours!
Guess my body is trying to make up for the rest I missed this week.
Today’s run was a bit better and actually beat my 1st Hill Sprint run time!
1st 3 laps I beat my time but slowed down a bit by a couple of seconds on the last 2 laps.
(I compare the run times on their respective laps)
Didn’t feel like I was about to die afterwards like the 1st 2 times either.
Here is to hoping I can build myself to 10 laps by spring time!

Finally had a good 6-7 hours of quality sleep and it showed in today’s workout.
I was wide awake and alert the whole time.
Ate decent amount of food the day before as well.
Overall a good workout, finally!

I was really amped for the next few hours after the workout with a generally good attitude the rest of the night.

Video had some weird issue after editing so I just turned it black & white for a clearer picture.
