I have tried my best to be as healthy and fit as possible. Unfortunately I am the only one in my home that want to take this lifestyle with me. But I am hoping that I can lead by example and everyone else will follow my lead … in time.
I have tried a few different types of diets in the past few years. I had great success doing a carb/calorie cycling type of diet while doing Stronglifts 5×5 last year.
For some time I have read about this somewhat new diet called Paleo or Caveman or Hunter Gatherer diet. Been practically ignoring for some time but I keep stumbling upon it in my search for knowledge on how to improve my well-being. Read the rest of this entry »
I used to take a premade post-workout supplement until it got too costly and found out I can make my own at a fraction of the cost. Learned about this post-workout shake at the Stronglifts website titled: Quick, Easy & Effective Post Workout Shakes.
I didn’t change much to it but I guess I may as well post what and how exactly I do it my way.
What do I use?
I have worked out both fasted and with a pre-workout meal and what works best for me is eating something before I do my lifts. I tried different things to eat pre-workout from eggs, cereal, meat, rice cakes, etc. While reading stuff in online forums I stumbled upon something that has become my staple pre-workout meal for the past few months that seems to work for me. It is called Proatmeal. It is a good quick meal to make right after you wake up from your slumber!
What is “Proatmeal”?
