Laps 2 & 4 are prowler arm pulls.

Laps 5, 7 & 9 are prowler pushes using the top horizontal bar.

Laps 6, 8, & 10 are prowler pulls using the shoulder harness.

I had a few drinks last night even though I have not had any in a long time.
A few Jameson on the rocks to help forget stuff and cool off.
Almost decided to not do any conditioning today but I decided to not be a pussy today, despite it being extremely hot outside!

Did a slightly lighter prowler workout today using two 45 lb plates and two 35 lb plates this time.
Changed the way I used it and added the shoulder harness to today’s conditioning.
It’s a nice change but I still need to get myself at least a 50′ rope for more fun!

Prowler Drag:

Laps: 10
Rest: 1 minute
Terrain: Asphalt

Total Time: 13m 34s

First time doing a prowler drag.
Attached the shoulder harness and just did the “Easy Prowler” workout today.
Next time I may do the medium session or do an alternating Drag/Push session.
This was most fun to do!

Dog Walk:

Time: 54m 31s
Distance: 2.5 miles

Just a nice walk in a beautiful day right after the prowler drag!

Beginning my adventure in Paleo … or is it Primal?

I have tried my best to be as healthy and fit as possible. Unfortunately I am the only one in my home that want to take this lifestyle with me. But I am hoping that I can lead by example and everyone else will follow my lead … in time.

I have tried a few different types of diets in the past few years. I had great success doing a carb/calorie cycling type of diet while doing Stronglifts 5×5 last year.

For some time I have read about this somewhat new diet called Paleo or Caveman or Hunter Gatherer diet. Been practically ignoring for some time but I keep stumbling upon it in my search for knowledge on how to improve my well-being. Read the rest of this entry »

Supposed to be a deload week but decided to take it easy and “try” not to do anything.
Couldn’t help myself on not doing anything so decided to go take a Krav Maga class today.
Good session walking there then a nice sweaty class followed up by 15 body weight pull-ups and finished it with a walk/jog back home.

Now to cook myself some Garlic Dilled Potatoes with Ghee, a Ribeye Steak and a Waldorf Salad
