Was kinda iffy if I should go to class today.
Arrived home from work feeling a bit tired (4/10) and sleepy.
Took my Pre-workout shake and started feeling better as I sipped my Intra-workout shake as I warmed up for class.
No mask again today.
As my supplements and caffeine hit I somehow felt UNSTOPPABLE!
At one point we were doing striking drills during Krav Maga and switching around who we hit holding the bag and I was about to switch to another person when the timer rang to stop the drill and they were saying “Thank God! I am afraid of you!”
Is it wrong that made me feel good?
Then some random new student wanted me to show him some stuff right after Krav Maga and I told him to just do the Heavy Bag Class with us.
Good choice and I can tell he enjoyed that as well as much as I enjoy doing the Heavy Bag Class. which is one of the most favorite things I like to do for conditioning!
Overall an AWESOME session considering I almost decided to not go at all today!

Slept around 6.5 hours before work and was debating what to do after my shift ended.
Was originally planning to drag my sled to class but I had some other errands I had to do before class so decided to just run there.
Normally I would be going to Muay Thai later that night but my schedule is preventing me to do that at optimal condition so I decided to do something else for conditioning today.
First time running non-stop anywhere in a while and definitely first time with a training mask.
Felt easy enough the run there so decided to increase the setting for the class and the run back home.
Only managed to do 1/2 the class with the mask on before I couldn’t take it anymore.
I was surprised that I was at least able to control my breathing better on both my run to and from class!
Weight: 70 lbs
Movement: 20 yd Pull then 20 yd Push/Set
Sets: 10
Rest Time: 1 minute/set
Total Time: 15m 8.03s
Terrain: Pavement
Elevation Mask Setting: 3000 ft
Received my new Black Widow Push/Pull Sled (aka The Prowler) and wanted to test it out with my new elevation training mask.
Decided to start slow by using a very light load.
Whole session was felt easy enough but I did have to catch my breath during the rest time.
Will need to at least increase the weight next session.
Really enjoying the new prowler and training mask! Read the rest of this entry »
Slept around 6-7 hours before I went to work tonight.
Think work wore me out more than usual. (Also had some personal issues happening which I don’t really want to talk about here.)
Arrived at the gym feeling fine but not spectacular like I wanted (6/10).
Disappointed in my squat session today and hopefully it was one of those fluke sessions and will see if I will need to deload on the next cycle after the next 2 other sessions of squats.
Decided that for BBB assistance work I will instead do a 50% on 1st week, 55% 2nd week and 60% 3rd week Training Max percentage.
My 1st week of a cycle seems to always suck so a much lighter load will probably do me best.
This is the 2nd time since I started 5/3/1 at the beginning of the year in which I made some changes to the program so I must be doing something right.

Great 7-8 hours of sleep before work.
Watched a friend do a charity Muay Thai fight the night before so had a few drinks which helped me sleep, considering I only had around 2-3 hours of sleep the day before.
I was unusually energetic a couple hours before I left work and it stayed with me as I arrived at the gym (8/10)
Think I was very excited on doing Kroc Rows today, which I think has become one of my favorite things to do!
Great training session overall and finished it with some Krav Maga right after lifting.
Best part of today was achieving my strength goal for the bench press!
Now to add a few more pounds to the new strength goal! Read the rest of this entry »
190 lbs x 10 @ 188 lbs Body Weight.
That is approximately 80% of my current training max for 5/3/1
My right shoulder had a weird soreness occur on my last warm-up set.
I think I could have done at least 2 more reps but I lost my tightness and dropped the bar at the end.
Hopefully I can do more on my next attempt in a few weeks.
Required Sit-ups and Push-ups are still easy.
But I still suck at running!
A few seconds faster than the last time despite doing the run after work and only having 6 hours of sleep before work.
Also had a tough lifting session before that.
