Week 20: Workout III (Last Stronglifts 5×5 Beginner Workout)

Week 20: 9/23/11

 

Last Stronglifts workout since I started this over a year ago. It’s been a blast and I learned so much and I am sure there are still much more to learn everyday!
Only did the main lifts and no accessory work due to limited time at the gym today.Did a few of my work sets without a belt and it was actually fine!


Pre-workout Warm-ups:

 

Standing Ab Pulldown: +80 x (8/8/8)
Glute-Ham Raise: BW x (8/8)

 

Lifting:
(WU = Warmup Sets, WS = Work Sets)


Squats:

90 x 5
135 x 3
180 x 2
225 x 1WS
270 x (5/3/3)

Not happy with today’s squats as there are a bunch of reps that barely made it to parallel.
Will need to make sure I do better when I start Mad Cow next session.

Overhead Press:
WU
Bar x (2×5)
75 x 5

WS
120 x (3×5)

I think it was one of my better OHP sessions.
Lent my belt to someone doing Starting Strength next to me and I think it felt better without the belt on my 2nd and 3rd set!

Deadlift:
WU
145 x 5
190 x 3
235 x 2
280 x 1

WS
325 x 5

1st time I deadlift without a belt and it actually felt nice!
Think my 3rd rep was the best one out of the whole set.

Accessory Exercises:

Prone Bridge:

none


Cardio:

none
