Mad Cow: Week 1 – Day 2

Week 1 Day 2: 9/28/11

Finally my smartphone decided to be smart and work properly today! Rebooted it before I got to the gym to make sure everything was reset.

Today I guess is the light day for Mad Cow.
The weights did feel very light today. Did not even bother taking my belt out of the gym bag.

I still do not like lifting on the squat rack and prefer the power cage but it was taken.

Pre-workout Warm-ups:

Mobility Drills

Standing Ab Pulldown: +80 lbs x (8/8/8)
Glute-Ham Raise: BW x (6/6/6)

Lifting:

Work Sets:

Weights felt very light and unchallenging today.
Just worked mostly on trying to get my form proper.

Overhead Press:
Warm-up Sets:
none

Work Set:
70 x 5
83.75 x 5
97.5 x 5
111.25 x 5


Bad angle on the vid unfortunately.
Weight really felt light and just worked on trying to get the form better.

Deadlift:
Warm-up Sets:
145 x 5

Work Sets:
188.75 x 5
226.25 x 5
263.75 x 5
301.25 x 5


Think my deadlifts are ok, could be better.
Think I need to drop my hips lower at the start.

Assistance Exercises:

Weighted Chin-ups:
Warm-up Set: BW x 5
Work Sets: +45 x (6/5/5)
Incline Sit-ups: (16/10/8)
