5/3/1: C4W4D1: PC & DL: 5/6/12 – 140 x 4 PC PB

06 May

C4W4D1: 5/6/12

Had a good 7 hours of sleep after being up for over 24 hours!
Probably could have slept longer but I wanted to try and make a class after lifting.
Realized too late that I did not have my steel-cut oats prepped the night before so did not have any breakfast before I went to the gym, my first mistake!
Felt tired when I got to the gym and hoping to not do as bad as I feel in my lifts today. (5/10)
Fasting before a training session is definitely not for me, should have learned from my past endeavors.
Think I almost passed out during one of my lifts I was so tired.
Just managed to have enough energy to do my main lifts and did jack shit afterwards.
I was hoping I can muster enough energy to attempt the Krav Maga class but I just went home to get ready to take my son to watch The Avengers and walk my dogs.

Pre-workout Warm-ups:

Foam Rolling
Dynamic/Static Stretching

Main Lift:

Power Clean:

Overhead Squat Warm-up Set:
45 x 10

Power Clean Warm-up Sets:
60 x 5
75 x 5
90 x 3

Work Sets:
110 x 5
125 x 3
140 x 4 (e1RM = 159) * PB

Knew my day was going to be bad when I was getting tired just doing my warm-up sets!
Goal was 6 reps on the top set but I stopped at the 4th rep due to feeling tired and thinking that my form is getting compromised.
But this is the Heaviest Power Cleans I have done to date!
Could have been better and done more reps if I was not up for over 24 hours the night before.
Not having enough time to eat breakfast really sucked too!
Never lifting fasted again!

Deadlift:

Warm-up Sets:
145 x 5
180 x 5
220 x 3

Work Sets:
270 x 5
310 x 3
345 x 3 (e1RM = 379)

Real wore out by the time I got to this and just pushed myself hard to finish it.
Wanted 6 reps on the top set and also stopped early because I was feeling that my form is getting bad.
Now that I looked at the vid, I don’t think it was that bad but my shoulders should have been forward more so I don’t have my knees push in front of the bar.

Assistance Exercises:

BBB Squat:

none

Ab Wheel Rollout:

none
